Stacy-Ann McFarlane is the passionate force behind It's A Stacy-Ann Thing, a Canadian-based vegan cosmetics and skincare brand rooted in resilience, faith, and a deep commitment to empowering others through beauty.

From a young age, Stacy-Ann found joy in transforming her friends and family with makeup, cherishing the smiles and confidence her artistry inspired.  This early passion laid the foundation for her future endeavors. 

 

At 28, Stacy-Ann's life took a challenging turn when she was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease.  Complications led to Stevens-Johnson syndrome, resulting in second-degree burns and facial disfigurement.  This harrowing experience ignited her mission to find gentle, non-reactive skincare and makeup products.  When suitable options proved scarce, she was inspired to create her own line, catering to individuals with sensitive skin and similar health challenges. 

 

In 2021, Stacy-Ann launched It's A Stacy-Ann Thing, offering vegan, cruelty-free, and hypoallergenic products free from harsh preservatives.  Her brand emphasizes the unique needs of mature and sensitive skin, celebrating beauty at every age  .

 

Despite facing further health challenges, including a hospitalization related to the COVID-19 vaccine and subsequent diagnoses of Guillain-Barré syndrome, fibromyalgia, and degenerative disc disease, Stacy-Ann's unwavering faith and determination propelled her forward.  She credits her strong Christian beliefs and the support of her husband and two sons as pillars of strength throughout her journey. 

 

Stacy-Ann's entrepreneurial spirit and dedication have not gone unnoticed.  In 2024, she was awarded a grant in Jacksonville, Florida, for new businesses and received the BFBG Award for Makeup Brand of the Year. 

 

Through It's A Stacy-Ann Thing, Stacy-Ann McFarlane continues to inspire and uplift others, proving that with faith, resilience, and passion, one can overcome adversity and make a meaningful impact in the world of beauty.
